What are the Clients Saying?

From an engineer client since July 2002 – Mr Archer

A high-quality professional personal service has been rendered from the outset. The results speak for themselves – the investments are performing better than expected. One is kept informed of portfolio performance and the investment environment.

From an executive client since July 2002 – Mr Harding

I only wish I had a lot more to let Seed look after, since that first advice regards the JSE and local stocks I have been impressed with Seed’s skill & knowledge regarding that and later to investment funds.

From a business consultant

Seed has done a thorough, personalised and highly professional analysis of my financial position and a guideline on the risks I face in realizing my dreams – there can’t be many investment advisers to beat Seed. I thoroughly recommend them.

From a pathologist - Dr Colesky

Vir gemoedsrus vir portefeulje bestuur kan ek Seed aanbeveel. Hulle het elke keer vinnig, professionele en onpartydige advies gegee.

From an engineer – Mr B Meintjes

I have over the years dealt with most major financial institutions and many brokers, but these relationships had been very passive. This is the main difference I experienced with Seed – their active involvement. You have direct access to the senior partners, can ask any question or advice and you will get the answer mostly the same day. They never shy away from any problem, but will give you immediate, frank and personal advice.

This document starts off by asking 7 of the most important questions we should all be asking ourselves as we’re nearing, or are in retirement. The remainder of the document provides you with tools to get some retirement planning answers you are looking for. Those important questions to ask...
In the previous article we discussed the main objectives in defining your retirement plan. We discussed the impact that the "size of income you need after retirement" and "choice of retirement age" will have on the amount of capital you require at retirement. Ideally this capital should be large enough to maintain your standard of living once you retire. Today we will look at why you should start working towards your retirement goal as soon as possible.
Before you embark on your family holiday you make time to contemplate your plan of action. Where are you going? How are you going to get there? You put so much time into planning a week or two, but refrain from doing the planning that will affect at least the last quarter of your life.
Win the war and not the battle. Most private client money managers are currently fighting out of the trenches. A number of economic bombs have exploded around us over the past 18 months and we’ve seen some major casualties along the way. Everything is fairly quiet at the moment and you want to believe that we are all back on track again. One just needs to look at the uptick in the oil price going above $70 a barrel this week. But isn’t the economic storm building up again for the second wave of attack that will come through in the form of deeper than expected recession and prolonged period of negative asset growth like Japan  has experienced for the past 20 years … hopefully not.
