Adriaan joined Seed Investments in 2019, having started his industry journey in the corporate sector as an International Trader and Economist. From Denel, Macsteel International, Island Ventures Jersey Ltd and the SA Sugar Industry, Adriaan made the shift to Regional Head of Institutional Business and Retail Investment Marketing at Stanlib in 2006. In 2010, Adriaan joined the Liberty team as Regional Marketing and Distribution Director before being appointed Liberty Broker Division Regional Head in 2011. Adriaan became a CFA Charter Holder in 2004 and has served as Head of Distribution at Seed Investments since 2019. In 2025, Adriaan was appointed as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director.

Initially called Exsequor Investments, an Independent Investment Advisory catering to high-net-worth clients, Ian co-founded Seed Investments in 2002. Ian’s industry journey dates back to the late 1990’s, during which time he fulfilled the roles of Director and Shareholder at Sharenet while pursuing his B.Com (Hons) in Financial and Portfolio Management at the University of Cape Town. Ian also holds the qualification of Chartered Accountant, and currently serves as Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer at Seed Investments.

Sean established a joint-partnership with Seed Investments and the Hereford Group in 2011, having started his journey in the industry at Deloitte in 1991. Sean went on to play a pivotal role at Automakers, being appointed as Head of Treasury during his tenure. He transitioned to Origin in 1998 (later called RMB Private Bank) serving as CFO for 8 years, and as CEO until his departure in 2011. A qualified Chartered Accountant, Sean assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer at Seed Investments for the past 14 years. Handing over the reigns to Adriaan Giessing, Sean is now the Non-Executive Director.

Having started his journey in the financial industry in 1995, Michael founded and continues to head up Liberty Franchise, the Hereford Group, as CEO. The Hereford Group has grown to become one of South Africa’s most prestigious, premier Wealth Management Companies. Michael provides strategic presence to the Seed Investments team across various regions, while fulfilling the role of Non-Executive Director to Seed Investments

Mike joined the Seed team in 2005, after earning his Bachelor of Business Science at the University of Cape Town. Mike has been a member of the Seed Investment Committee since 2007 and went on to become a CFA Charter holder in 2009, before being promoted to the position of Portfolio Manager in 2010, where Mike’s primary focus shifted to the management of Seed’s Range of Unit Trust Funds. Promoted to the role of Head of Investments in 2024, Mike stepped into a broader leadership role within the company.

Cor joined the Seed team in 2010 after earning his B.Com (Hons) in Actuarial Science from the University of Stellenbosch. Cor, a CFA Charter holder, went on to become a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (FASSA), before being promoted to the role of portfolio manager in 2014. Cor’s main focus is on the management of the Seed Wrap Funds and Seed Corporate Solutions.

Tawanda joined the Seed team in 2015, having started his career as a Financial Manager in the retail industry. Tawanda went on to make his shift into the investment space when joining one of the largest asset managers in South Africa as a trainee analyst. Tawanda, a CFA Charter holder and Certified Financial Risk Manager, fulfils the role of Portfolio Manager, placing his focus on Seed’s DFM range. Tawanda also heads up the Seed manager research function and co manages the Seed Income Prescient Fund.

Thomas joined Seed Investments in 2023 in various support roles. In 2025 he was promoted to an Investment Analyst, where his research, analysis and insights help the investment team operate effectively. Thomas holds a B.Com from Stellenbosch University, and a B.Com (Hons) in Economic Analysis of Financial Markets from the University of Cape Town.

Mohammed joined Seed’s investment team in July 2024. He graduated from the University of Cape Town in 2024, earning a Bachelor of Business Science in Data Science. Directing his attention towards data analysis, Mohammed currently fills the role of Operations Assistant in the Investment team, assisting the team with their data and systems queries.

Jayde joined Hampshire Independent Advisors in 2023, bringing over a decade of experience in the financial services industry, including key roles at Liberty, Bidvest and Discovery. She holds a Higher Certificate in Financial Planning (NQF5) and is a Registered Financial Practitioner (RFP) with the Financial Planning Institute. Jayde is an active member of Women in Finance and is deeply committed to empowering independent advisors. In addition to her role at Hampshire, she also supports the Seed Wealth team as Regional Manager, helping to strengthen advisor relationships and drive growth across the group.

Nico first became involved with Seed Investments on a consultancy basis in 2012, before joining the team full-time in 2015. Following his professional SA Rugby career, Nico began his industry journey at the Hereford Group as a Financial Advisor in 2001. Nico moved on to become CIO in 2005 until 2011, before making the decision to further his career in Wealth Management. Nico holds a B.Econ degree from Stellenbosch and a Post Grad in Financial Planning from UFS, and currently fulfills the role of Wealth Manager. Nico works closely with Angelique Du Preez to take care of his clients’ investment portfolios.

Stefan first became involved with Seed Investments on a consultancy basis in 2012, having worked as an institutional client accountant at Maitland. Initially involved in a research and private client support capacity, Stefan transitioned to start advising private clients and becoming a full time Wealth Manager at the Hereford Group while remaining involved with Seed before joining the team full time in 2015. A CFA Charter holder and CFP®, Stefan works closely with his clients and the rest of the Seed Wealth Management team in his capacity as Wealth Manager.

Claurita joined the Seed team in 2019, having started her career in the financial services industry with the PSG Academy as a learner financial planner in 2011 before moving on to start advising private clients at PSG Wealth. Claurita achieved her CFP® in 2015 and places her focus on holistic financial planning. Claurita works closely with the Seed Wealth Management team and her clients in her capacity as Wealth Manager.

Wayne joined the Seed Team in 2021, having started his industry career at Baker Tilly Greenwoods in 2003. He then then moved on to take up a position at Ora Fund Managers, fulfilling various management roles across Finance, Business Development and Portfolio Management before becoming a co-business owner, as well as a Financial and Operational Director at First Global Wealth Group in 2016. Wayne, a CFA Charter holder and CFP®, is currently based in Canada and continues to work closely with the team as a Wealth Manager.

Angelique joined the Seed team in 2015, having started her industry career in an administrative capacity in 2009. Angelique went on to become an equity dealer assistant in 2014. Holding an NQF5 in Financial Planning, Angelique successfully passed her RPL exam at the University of the Free State and plans to undertake her Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning. In her role as Wealth Manager, Angelique works closely and primarily in partnership with Nico Wegner.

Upon joining the Seed Team as an Administrator in 2016, Carien brought with her over 15 years of invaluable experience in client relationship management spanning diverse sectors, including Agriculture, Legal and Finance. Demonstrating a keen understanding of client needs, Carien swiftly transitioned into the role of Client Relationship Coordinator, where she played a pivotal role in fostering strong connections with Seed’s clientele. Currently, Carien works closely with Stefan Keeve in her role as Para-Planner.

Charmandi joined the Seed team in 2024, bringing with her 6 years of solid administrative experience within the financial services industry. Charmandi holds a B.Com in Financial Planning and is currently working towards her postgraduate degree. Charmandi works closely with Stefan Keeve and the rest of the Seed Wealth Management team in her role as Senior Wealth Administrator. She also offers guidance and support to Miguel Failho, placed in the distribution channel of the business.

Stéfan joined the Seed team in 2019, having started his career in the financial services industry in 2012. He went on to support the Private Client division of one of South Africa’s leading Asset Managers in 2014. Stéfan currently holds more than a decade of experience in client liaison and relationship management, and works closely with Nico Wegner, Angelique Du Preez and the rest of the Wealth Management team in his role as Wealth Administrator.

Hanmari joined the Seed team in 2024, having made the decision to transition from the education sector to the financial services industry in 2018. Bringing with her 5 years of administrative and financial planning experience, Hanmari is currently pursuing her NQF5 in Wealth Management. Hanmari works closely with Angelique Du Preez, Claurita Baard and the rest of the Wealth Management team in her role as Wealth Administrator.

Carmen joined Seed Investments in 2016 and has been instrumental in shaping the company’s brand, marketing and communications strategy. With an NQF6 in Marketing Management from Boston College, Carmen plays a pivotal role in aligning the Seed and Hampshire strategies with their joint business objectives. As Group Marketing Manager, Carmen leads the marketing vision across both entities, driving strategic initiatives that empower Independent Financial Advisors and strengthen client relationships.

Miguel joined Seed Investments in 2021, having started his professional career in the Specialty Coffee Industry. Miguel graduated from the IIE’s Varsity College with a B.Com degree in Financial Management in 2019 and is currently working towards his CFA qualification. With a focus on delivering value to our Advisor network and the distribution channel, Miguel fulfills the role of Seed Distribution Specialist.

Carin joined Seed Investments in 2023, bringing valuable marketing coordination experience from the education sector. She holds an NQF5 in Business Management from False Bay College and is currently completing her NQF6 in Marketing at CPUT. As Marketing & Events Coordinator, Carin plays a key role in executing brand-aligned events and supporting marketing initiatives across the group.

Raquel supports the broader Seed and Hampshire partnership by executing and managing digital campaigns that amplify brand messaging and engage advisor audiences. Nicole joined the Seed team in 2017 with a solid track record in financial services and a passion for operational excellence. Nicole began her career at a leading audit firm where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant, before completing a secondment in New York City and returning as an assistant manager with predominant focus in Financial Services. She then went on to join a Cape Town based Asset Manager as a Financial Manager to further broaden her experience within the industry. Her experience spans across both external audit and on the ground finance operations. As Chief Operating Officer, Nicole plays a key role in steering Seed’s operational, compliance and financial frameworks.

Michelle joined the Seed team in 2015, having entered the banking industry as a Customer Service Representative in Zimbabwe in 2007. Upon arriving in South Africa in 2010, Michelle went on to gain valuable accounting and business experience in the corporate sector. Michelle holds a Bachelor in Accounting Science and is currently furthering her studies in the data field while fulfilling the role of Accountant within our team.

Upon his arrival in South Africa in 2016, Tawanda went on to gain valuable experience across various sectors. Tawanda holds a B.Com degree in Accounting and is currently furthering his studies while continuing to fulfill the role of Accountant within our team.

Stefanie joined the Seed team in 2021, initially taking on the role of Wealth Administrator. She was later promoted to the role of Senior Wealth Administrator. Stefanie successfully completed her LLB in 2023 while balancing her professional commitments and studies through part-time enrollment at the University of South Africa (UNISA). Bringing along a wealth of experience in the trust and fiduciary sector, Stefanie was promoted to the role of Legal and Compliance Officer in 2024.
